Uninstall Avast using a removal tool App Cleaner & Uninsatller App Cleaner & Uninstaller is a special utility, that allows you to uninstall applications on a Mac completely and safely. With this Avast uninstaller, you can remove the software with just several clicks: Launch App Cleaner & Uninstaller. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program if you are using the default category view.or click Programs and Features if you are using the large/small icons view. Right-click Avast Premium Security, then select Uninstall from the drop-down menu. If prompted for permission. Click Go in the menu bar, select Applications, then double-click the Avast icon. Ensure the Avast Security window is active, then click Avast on the left side. Click the Avast menu bar present on the top left corner of the screen. From the drop-down menu select Open Avast option. Now click on Avast Security from the menu bar. Select Uninstall Avast option from the drop-down menu. Avast clean uninstall. Ensure Apps & features is selected in the left panel, then click Avast Cleanup Premium, and select Uninstall. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes. When the Avast Cleanup Premium setup appears, select Uninstall. Click Uninstall to confirm uninstallation.

The initial programming software was Windows based from RT systems and worked just fine. I have tried three of the 'virtual' programs with no success. The radios in question are a Yaesu FT 897D, FT 50R, and a FT 8900 on order.
